Geekoto Tripod Collection | Heavy Duty Video Tripod DV2 Customer Questions & Answers

1.Q: Is the fluid head detachable from the flat ball base? Or is the ball base part of the fluid head? (e.g. tripod can be used on its own for slider)

A: It can be disassembled and most of the ball seats can be used

2.Q: Does the tripod come with plate such as in picture?

A: yes, the first picture is the complete product。

3.Q: What is the minimum collapsed size of this tripod?

A: About 32" (without the top mount/handle screwed on.35" (Assembled)

4.Q: Does these tripod have a bubble level?

A: Yes it does have a bubble level. It is built into the head and obviously precision installed unlike some cheaper models. The platform is so stable that the tripod can be used on contoured surfaces and be steady and the setting you make for true level or slightly or radically askew will hold firmly. This tripod is probably as close as you are going to get to true professional grade without shelling out 4X the money and more.

5.Q: Will this work on canon camera to this tripod?

A: As long as your camera is compatible with standard 1/4" screw or 3/8" screw, the tripod is compatible. Most cameras are compatible with SDLR.

6.Q: Will this tripod be sturdy enough to handle to weight of a cannon c200 or a sony fs7? Does this hold a teleprompter and camera weighing around 15 pounds?

A: Yes, it can withstand all cameras and lenses with a total weight of less than 33 pounds

7.Q: Does the tripod head pan smoothly? Mine feels like it gets stuck occasionally.

A: The adjustment screw controls would initially catch as if there was a rough spot but easing off the control screw just slightly allowed it to free flow. We actually bought one for ourselves and one for the Church and found the same solution worked. On both, after a few issue the situation went away and there was a product review citing a "dry spot on the control head" that went away when screws were backed off slightly and head was moved in a rotation motion several times in various positions left/right and up/down. This seems to have benefited several people. Hope this helps.

8.Q: What is the weight of the tripod itself?

A: The weight of the tripod itself is 11.75 pounds

9.Q: How stable and smooth movement is this tripod? I am looking to use it to photograph? Thanks

A: This tripod is very stable and stable, whether it is taking pictures or moving smoothly, it is extremely stable and has smooth movement.

10.Q: Is the head attached with a 3/8 or a ball?

A: This tripod is ball rotation for the head and machined to precision so once tightened, it holds firm with no slippage. This is not a flimsy lightweight tripod, this is solid and on a par with many much more expensive tripods.
