1.Q: Will this tripod let me shoot straight up or will the handle prevent me from doing so?
A: The video head can point down 90-degrees, but it can only point up at 70-degrees. You could get the camera to shoot straight up into the sky with a 90-degree angle if you mount the camera backward on the video head plate so the lens is looking at you and then point the camera down 90-degrees (with the lens then pointing up).
2.Q: I really like the tripod, but how in the heck do you get it back in the travel bag? I feel like I've tried every which way haha
A: How big is your travel bag? I also encountered some troubles at first. Before packing, please remove the head and fold the legs in the opposite direction to the legs when using. That should help. In fact, you can also consider removing the gimbal to make it easier to carry.
3.Q: Can I mount a spotting scope?
A: As long as the device you want to install has a 1/4 screw hole, you can install it. Then it needs to weigh less than 20 pounds.
